Last week I made stockings for my pen pal and secret santa, as seen just a few posts below. Then on Christmas Eve I tried to make stockings for me and my boyfriend. But something was really messed up. The fabric bunched up and the thread fell right out! My mom came over and found the problem: I had forgotten to lower the presser foot. D'oh! Both my parents laughed at me and I felt like such a dummy. Perhaps that would explain my 'tension' problems. I plan to finish the stockings tomorrow. At least we'll have them ready for next year.
Now time for a little confession: I haven't worked out since Wednesday. I feel so guilty. I planned to workout this afternoon but napped and ate candy instead. Right now I'm making some mac and cheese instead of doing pushups. I think I'll do pushups while I wait for my food. I keep thinking of 'working out' as a long ordeal. Warmup, 40-60 minutes spent working, 15 minute cool down. I need to remember that every action counts, and that I don't need to spend so much time every day. So, let's see what I can do before the water boils!
Finally, a little bit of awe: this guy is a huge inspiration to me. I've been following him on Fitocracy. His story gives me the chills. Can't wait for my next run!
Update: I did 15 jumpsquats, 30 russian twists, 60 seconds of plank and sideplank, and 60 pushups in ten minutes.
